 Monooleato de sorbitan 80 , also known as Sorbitol oleate / SM o , is the esterification product of sorbitol anhydride and oleic acid. Its molecular formula is c 24Ho 6  

. At room temperature, an amber-colored viscous liquid to brown. Sorbitol monooleate is a W/o emulsifier, and the H LB value of Sorbitol monooleate is 4.3. Our Sorbitol monooleate is one of the most popular Surfactants due to its multiple functions in food, medicine, cosmetics, textiles, metal processing, etc.

Sorbitol monooleate is generally used in combination with Polysorbate 80.

  WHAT IS HLB ? HLB value is the abbreviation for hydrophilic-lipophilic balance, it is the ratio between the hydrophilic portions and lipophilic portion of a surfactant.
