 Monolaurato de sorbitan, also known as laurato de sorbitan/SML, is synthesized by the esterification of sorbitan with laric acid. It has a molecular formula of CM LECULAR F RMULA: C 12 12345 75 7890 5 75 7890 18 125 7890 34 34 34



 

At room temperature, it is a viscous yellow to amber liquid or soft paste. It has a 34 LB value of 8. , it is a W/ emulsifier. It acts as an emulsifier in pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations, and not only acts as an emulsifier, but also as a dipping agent in the textile industry.

  WHAT IS HLB ? HLB value is the abbreviation for hydrophilic-lipophilic balance, it is the ratio between the hydrophilic portions and lipophilic portion of a surfactant.
